Covid-19 Mass Vaccination

BACK TO MAIN INDEX

The approval of vaccines is a significant milestone in the country’s response to COVID-19. It follows months of rigorous clinical trials and a thorough analysis of data by experts at the MHRA who have concluded that the vaccines meet strict standards of safety, quality and effectiveness.

Since this announcement in December, the Healthwest team have worked incredibly hard to develop, set-up and run an efficient and safe COVID-19 vaccination centre. We are providing this service at Clifton College Preparatory School which allows us to ramp up our vaccination programme while maintaining our vital primary care services within our own practice buildings. Huge thanks goes to Clifton College for hosting this service in their school hall. It is a lovely setting with good access and plenty of nearby parking.

Patient getting covid-19 vaccination

Our first vaccination clinic took place just before Christmas, and by the end of February we had delivered over 10,000 vaccinations which is a remarkable achievement.

We have had wonderful feedback from patients about the service. The service would not have been possible without the dedication of both practice staff and volunteers who in most cases are giving up their own time to work in the clinic or marshall outside the clinic. If you wish to volunteer to help our vaccination programme then please contact us

Further information about COVID-19 vaccination and when you will be called for your jab can be found on your practice website
